Group counseling offers a safe, supportive, and structured environment where individuals can come together to explore shared experiences, overcome challenges, and celebrate personal growth. These sessions foster connection, understanding, and mutual support among participants facing similar life situations. Groups typically meet on a weekly basis and are short-term in nature, focusing on specific issues such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, relationship dynamics, or mental health recovery.
Pass-through services are customized, time-limited counseling sessions designed for individuals who have transitioned from higher-intensity behavioral health programs. Eligible participants may receive up to 24 sessions per year through Medicaid. These services are intended for clients who have previously received Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), and now require ongoing—but less intensive—support to maintain their progress. The goal is to provide continuity of care while promoting stability, independence, and long-term well-being in the community.
What This Helps With:
- Allows for the individuals to meet independently or in a group setting to discuss problems and concerns on a short term basis. Usually meets for one hour weekly for an interval period of time.
